Role Purpose
Ensure the safety of guests and associates within designated swimming areas during posted business hours through active surveillance, emergency response, and maintenance of safety protocols and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Surveillance
- Monitor guests and associates within designated swimming areas during posted business hours.
- Respond to any emergency within the hotel and resort swimming areas.
Equipment & Setup
- Establish and maintain setup of safety equipment at the pool, including life saving floatation devices along the shoreline and around the pool.
- Position the correct flag during business hours.
- Maintain first aid kit availability and accessibility.
- Post business hours, pool depth, and water and air temperatures.
Emergency Response
- Ensure that rescue boat is available at all times.
- Conduct rescue operations as required.
General Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Lifeguard Certification required.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the lifeguard field.
- Authorization to conduct CPR and AR.
Skills & Competencies
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to handle pressure at work.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Pleasing personality.
