Lead Structural Engineer

Role Overview

Lead Structural Engineer at Alothman Holding. This is a split role encompassing project management and HR responsibilities.

Role Purpose

Manage a team of structural engineers and draughtsman while leading structural design across multiple concurrent projects, maintaining departmental standards, and overseeing the technical delivery of building analysis and design work.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

• Manage a group of structural draughtsman and engineers.
• Lead Structural Design teams for several concurrent projects.
• Assist in training and development of junior members of the design team.
• Conduct staff appraisals and coaching.
• Increase proficiency and general discipline across the team.

Standards & Quality

• Lead the department in developing and maintaining standards.
• Check CAD drawings in 2D and 3D.
• Follow company rules, regulations, instructions and guidelines for Quality, Safety, Driving Safety and other site/client/field QHSE requirements as applicable.

Design & Analysis

• Lead a team of engineers and draughtsman to carry out structural analysis and design of buildings as per design codes.
• Model and analyze building structures using the latest design software.

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate and collaborate with clients in terms of design and engineering.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support.
• Control project budget.

Operations

• Manage office procedures.
• Execute additional responsibilities as per company instructions and directions.
