Role Overview

Lead Specialist, Engineering and Virtualization at Ma'aden. This is a senior technical leadership role focused on designing, deploying, and optimizing enterprise data virtualization and integration solutions.

Role Purpose

Own end-to-end delivery of virtualization and semantic layer solutions that enable secure, performant, and governed access to enterprise data assets. Lead technical strategy and execution across engineering, governance, and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in data service reliability, cost, and operability.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Solution Design

• Design consumable data services aligned to enterprise definitions and models.
• Deliver robust virtualization or semantic layer solutions with strong quality and reliability standards.
• Optimize query performance and implement effective caching strategies.
• Support production data access services with performance, security, and reliability requirements.

Operations & Support

• Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for production data services.
• Monitor and improve performance, cost, and operability of data services over time.

Governance & Security

• Establish and enforce access governance, auditing, and security controls for data access services.
• Ensure data virtualization solutions meet enterprise security and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Management

• Work effectively across engineering, governance, and business teams.
• Manage relationships with BI teams, application teams, and governance stakeholders.
• Guide technical teams and vendors through leadership and influence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in data engineering and integration with hands-on experience delivering virtualization or semantic layer solutions.
