Role Overview

Lead Civil & Structural Engineer—Storage Tanks at KBR.

Role Purpose

Study, design, specify, and deliver civil and structural engineering services across transportation systems, infrastructure, water resources, and related works. Independently apply advanced engineering techniques, make decisions on complex engineering problems, and represent the organization in external negotiations and conferences with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Design, specify, and deliver transportation systems including roads, rail, airports, and seaports.
• Design bridges, tunnels, and underground utilities.
• Conduct hydrology, hydraulics, and geotechnical design work.
• Deliver water treatment, distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and raw water supply engineering.
• Execute other civil engineering works as assigned.

Technical Leadership & Guidance

• Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
• Serve as a primary technical resource consulted extensively by associates and peers.
• Apply scientific interpretations and advice with a high degree of reliance from colleagues.

Stakeholder & External Engagement

• Represent the organization in conferences to resolve important questions.
• Negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations.

Management & Accountability

• Own a measurable asset including assigned staff and budget responsibility.

Qualifications & Experience

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience.
• Average experience ranging from 10+ years.
