Role Overview

Laundry Supervisor at Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea, operated by IHG Hotels and Resorts.

Role Purpose

Oversee all laundry operations to ensure efficient, high-standard service delivery. Train and supervise laundry staff, maintain equipment, coordinate daily workflows, and uphold Six Senses service standards and LQA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

• Handle and assist in department training and orientation of all new laundry hosts.
• Conduct regular trainings to laundry hosts to improve job performance and meet guidelines and standards of service and operation.
• Demonstrate to laundry hosts how to perform each task in the job description according to service standard.

Operations & Scheduling

• Plan and coordinate an action plan for daily work schedules including special activities and reports depending on occupancy.
• Distribute and supervise daily work schedules, reports, and assignments to laundry staff.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of laundry functions.

Supervision & Quality Assurance

• Supervise and inspect the work of laundry hosts ensuring high standard of order, hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness throughout all service areas.
• Assist laundry hosts when necessary.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation and ensure performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.

Equipment & Facilities

• Ensure all equipment and machinery is cleaned and maintained in good condition.
• Store equipment correctly.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar hotel operational setting.
• Hospitality diploma or degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
• Proven results in a similar role in luxury hotels.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with various hotel systems including POS and PMS platforms.
• Good knowledge of laundry operations and linen handling.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language is preferred.
