Role Overview
Kitchen Supervisor at TGP International. The role oversees daily kitchen operations and leads the culinary team to ensure food production runs smoothly, standards are consistently met, and the kitchen operates efficiently across all service periods.
Role Purpose
Supervise and coordinate all kitchen staff during daily operations, ensure food is prepared and presented consistently to recipe and quality standards, and maintain efficient kitchen workflow and compliance across all sections.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Workflow
- Oversee mise en place, station readiness, and kitchen workflow across all sections
- Ensure food production runs smoothly across all service periods
Food Quality & Standards
- Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently to recipe and quality standards
- Monitor and enforce strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen staff during daily operations
- Train, mentor, and performance-manage kitchen team members
- Lead a team calmly and effectively under pressure
Inventory & Resources
- Monitor food inventory and minimize waste
- Communicate stock needs to management
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–7 years of experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, cooking techniques, and food production
- Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Experience in Asian or Hawaiian cuisine is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to lead effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and customer service standards
