Junior Technician - Fleet

Role Overview

Junior Technician - Fleet at Emirates Flight Catering. This is a ground support equipment maintenance role focused on vehicle and fleet servicing.

Role Purpose

Deliver scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections on fleet and ground support equipment in compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and supervisor direction.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair

• Carry out all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance services and repairs under supervisor guidance in the most efficient manner.
• Inspect and record all necessary readings on the checklist.
• Ensure proper handling of tools and optimize use of consumables.

Work Standards & Safety

• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in an efficient, professional, and tidy manner before, after, and during the job.
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing maintenance services.
• Apply the Quality Policy and Quality System established in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 International Standards.
• Execute responsibilities according to department work procedures reflecting Emirates Flight Catering Quality Policy.

Communication & Handover

• Communicate with supervisor on work performed and handover jobs that are still pending before the end of the shift.

Other Duties

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Certificate Qualification or equivalent (required).
• ITI/ITC (Industrial Training Institute) Certification or equivalent qualification and Trade test certificate (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in similar role in ground support equipment workshops or organizations in vehicle or ground support equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge and working experience in Mechanical, Auto electrical, Vehicle instrumentation, Automobile Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration systems, Tyre maintenance, welding, or Fabrication.

Skills & Competencies

• Technical and Analytical Skills.
• Able to understand written and spoken English.
• Trained in First Aid, Safety, or basic firefighting (preferred).
