Role Purpose
To contribute to the development and enhancement of webook.com's ticketing and booking platform across multiple engineering disciplines. The role offers exposure to various teams and technologies while supporting the growth of the platform's core services.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Understand and gather complex business needs.
- Map out technical solutions to business requirements.
- Develop and manage solutions within defined timelines.
Quality Assurance
- Create and execute test cases to identify problems in mobile and web applications.
- Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.
Backend Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain the server-side of web applications.
- Support scaling of the platform to millions of users worldwide.
Mobile Engineering
- Craft the Hala Yalla client experience on mobile devices.
- Learn and apply iOS and Android SDK using React Native.
Front End Engineering
- Build fast, scalable, and responsive Hala Yalla experiences for the web.
- Maintain website functionality and performance.
- Work with technologies including Typescript, React, and Redux.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of full-time software development experience.
- Experience writing software through full-time work, college or bootcamp coursework, personal projects, internships, coding competitions, or research.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
