Junior Engineer-Facilities Management

Role Overview

Junior Engineer – Facilities Management with Transguard Group in Dubai, supporting MEP operations across multiple sites and large facilities.

Role Purpose

Support MEP operations and coordinate with supervisors, team leaders, and technicians to maintain technical standards, ensure safety and compliance, and drive continuous improvement across assigned facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Coordination

• Assist in managing daily MEP tasks and support technicians across various disciplines.
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs during maintenance, shutdowns, and commissioning activities.
• Communicate with internal teams and external partners as needed.
• Help manage service providers and ensure maintenance tasks are completed as per contract.
• Track progress of assigned tasks and report completion status.

Work Order & CAFM Management

• Review and follow up on work orders using CAFM systems, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Experience or training in using CAFM/CMMS systems for work orders.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Follow established procedures and standards for MEP operations.
• Help identify recurring issues and support in finding practical solutions.
• Learn and apply advanced troubleshooting techniques from senior staff.
• Review safety documents and maintenance procedures under guidance.

Projects & Improvements

• Support in executing small-scale projects and system upgrades.
• Participate in improvement initiatives and learn about new technologies.
• Assist in preparing proposals for additional works and coordinating with procurement.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with local regulations (DEWA, Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.).
• Familiar with safety standards, quality checks, and compliance requirements.
• Awareness of QHSE procedures and emergency protocols.
• Able to stay calm and assist during emergency situations.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor basic performance indicators and report any concerns to senior staff.
• Support in preparing technical reports and asset condition summaries.

Inventory & Resource Management

• Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and consumables.
• Knowledge of inventory tracking and managing spare parts.
• Assist in budget tracking and resource planning with the engineering team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in facility management, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
• Experience in supervising technical teams and handling multiple services.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of LV electrical systems, HVAC (chilled water and DX), and plumbing setups.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
• Good communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn team coordination and leadership skills.
• Strong interest and foundation in facility management practices.
• Multilingual: Arabic, English, Hindi, or Urdu (preferred).
