Role Purpose

Support the maintenance of accurate financial records, assist in report preparation, and ensure compliance with accounting procedures, standards, and company policies under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & General Ledger

• Perform daily bookkeeping, including posting invoices, expenses, journals, and accruals.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and postings.
• Assist in balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare journal vouchers and flag discrepancies.

Project Accounting

• Maintain project cost ledgers, cost coding, and budget-versus-actual tracking under supervision.
• Record project revenue, IPCs, variations, and client invoicing based on approved documentation.
• Support project accounting activities, including cost allocation.
• Review subcontractor claims and supplier invoices for accuracy.

Accounts Management

• Process and reconcile subcontractor and supplier accounts, including advances, retentions, and settlement tracking.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, invoice settlement, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.

Closing & Reporting

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and required documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience within contracting or construction companies.
• Accounting-related certification (preferred).

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Tools.
• Basic working knowledge of UAE VAT and local regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn in a live-project environment.
