Jr Maintenance technician

Role Overview

Jr Maintenance Technician at Vanderlande. This is a Service Technician II position performing maintenance duties and reactive calls to Material Handling Systems.

Role Purpose

Perform maintenance duties and reactive calls to Material Handling Systems to ensure productivity and output, equipment asset availability, health and safety compliance, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment including motors, electrical circuits, ATR systems, baggage handling equipment, and conveyor systems.
• Follow diagrams, electrical drawings, operational manuals, and manufacturer's specifications during all maintenance work.
• Use hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to perform maintenance tasks.

Operations & Compliance

• Ensure equipment asset availability and operational productivity.
• Maintain health and safety compliance across all assigned systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical or Electromechanical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Electro-mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Minimum 1 year CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience.
• Minimum 2 years of material handling experience (preferable).

Skills & Competencies

• Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings and prints.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems including PLC and PC.

• Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport ID Badge.
