Jr Maintenance technician

Role Overview

Jr Maintenance Technician at Vanderlande. The Service Technician II performs maintenance duties and reactive calls to material handling systems to ensure productivity, output, equipment asset availability, health and safety compliance, and quality.

Role Purpose

To troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment in material handling systems, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment including motors, electrical circuits, ATR systems, baggage handling equipment, and conveyor systems.
• Perform maintenance duties and respond to reactive calls on material handling systems.
• Execute work in accordance with diagrams, electrical drawings, operational manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.

Tools & Equipment

• Operate hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical or Electromechanical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in electromechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years of material handling experience (preferable).
• Minimum 1 year CMMS experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings and prints.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems, including PLC and PC.

• Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport ID Badge.
