Role Overview
Group AMANA is seeking a Jr. Equipment Officer to support the effective management, allocation, maintenance, documentation, and mobilization of equipment across projects. This role is based in the UAE.

Role Purpose
The Jr. Equipment Officer ensures equipment availability, compliance, and operational readiness across all projects by managing allocation, maintenance documentation, mobilization, and coordination between operations, maintenance, procurement, and equipment teams.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Allocation & Deployment
- Support operational and project teams with equipment allocation and deployment for day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate and schedule timely supply, mobilization, and delivery of equipment and machinery to project sites and jobs.
- Ensure prompt supply of equipment to all jobs and coordinate trailer movement for mobilization and demobilization.
- Assist in scheduling equipment supply to all jobs and coordinate trailers and transportation requirements for mobilization and demobilization.
Documentation & Administration
- Initiate and complete documentation for mobilization and demobilization of equipment and machinery related to projects.
- Update equipment delivery, rental, maintenance, and asset transactions in Plant, E-Rental, CMiC, or relevant systems.
- Update systems with daily timesheets for manpower and equipment from respective jobs.
- Maintain accurate tracking, documentation, and control of all equipment, fleet, and machinery assets.
- Prepare and submit daily asset status reports reflecting equipment availability, operational condition, and maintenance status.
- Ensure equipment handover forms are duly completed and signed by both parties, with relevant supporting records such as accident reports, photographs, and inspection documents.
Maintenance & Compliance
- Create and manage maintenance work orders and follow up with Supervisors and Workshop teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Check and audit maintenance activities and provide necessary support and coordination to maintenance and workshop teams.
- Attend pre-delivery and return inspections of equipment to verify compliance, condition, and operational readiness.
- Conduct and coordinate RTA pre-test inspections and follow up on all related requirements to ensure successful test completion.
- Follow up on the validity and timely renewal of documents such as registration, insurance, third-party safety certificates, gate passes, permits, tolls, and other statutory requirements for all equipment.
- Check the validity of documents for rented plant and machinery and ensure compliance prior to mobilization and deployment.
- Follow up on required documentation for operators and drivers, where applicable, including permits, certificates, and other relevant records.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery are available, compliant, properly documented, and operationally ready before deployment to project sites.
- Follow up on equipment return, inspection, maintenance requirements, and system updates to maintain accurate asset records.
Inventory & Procurement
- Issue MRFs/PRs for all parts, tools, consumables, and machinery required for maintenance, workshop, and stock.
- Supervise stock inventory and raise MRFs/PRs for the purchase of required parts, tools, consumables, and machinery.
- Contact suppliers for disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including used consumables, oils, tires, and batteries from the workshop.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Keep superiors well informed about equipment availability, maintenance requirements, workforce requirements, and operational constraints.
- Coordinate with project, operations, logistics, maintenance, workshop, and rental teams to ensure efficient equipment deployment and availability.
- Monitor equipment movement, rental status, maintenance activities, mobilization, and demobilization to ensure proper utilization and control of assets.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Equipment Management, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–1 year of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of construction equipment, maintenance, or plant operations is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple teams and in a fast-paced project environment.
