Journeyman Electrician at Intrepid Global Solutions. The role performs intermediate, direct support level electrical maintenance, modification, and repairs on military equipment as prescribed in equipment Technical Manuals and U.S. Air Force standards.

Role Purpose
Deliver electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and testing services on specialized military electrical equipment and systems in compliance with Technical Manuals, Electronic Technical Manuals, U.S. Air Force standards, and government documentation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance
- Perform a variety of electrical trade functions including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
- Maintain and repair all aspects of buildings and industrial electrical distribution systems.
- Test, repair, overhaul, modify, and maintain electrical equipment of specialized nature such as automatic alternator synchronizing equipment, amplifying control units, voltage regulating equipment, generators, switching and control panels, and junction boxes.
Troubleshooting & Diagnosis
- Assist team members in solving maintenance problems by analysis and troubleshooting.
- Locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment.
- Diagnose system malfunctions, isolate causes, and correct deficiencies.
Technical Execution
- Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, and other specifications.
- Perform standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment using Technical Manuals and Electronic Technical Manuals.
- Use a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
Documentation & Administration
- Maintain appropriate government required paperwork and files (Job Packets) necessary for maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Research and requisition materials and prepare necessary documents and reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED certificate with five (5) years of experience related to maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems.
- Journeymen level license for an Electrician.
- Ability to read and interpret building diagrams and technical manuals.
- Experience with and knowledge of NEC and NFPA-40.
- Familiarity with the British Electrical Code (BEC) is desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Troubleshooting and electrical systems diagnosis.
- Blueprint and technical manual interpretation.
- Hand tool and measuring and testing instrument operation.
- Computations relating to electrical load requirements.
Additional Information
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred).
- Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for host nation.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather, and hazardous conditions.
- Travel: 100% in deployed location.
