Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer at KBR, based initially in the Client or Contractors Office in Abu DhAbu for an ADNOC PMC offshore development project.

Role Purpose
Lead the design, specification, and delivery of control systems and instrumentation for offshore oil and gas projects. Provide technical expertise and engineering leadership while managing functional area responsibilities on complex offshore development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Specification
- Design and specify control systems including basic process control systems, safety systems, control panels, analyzer systems, telecommunications, field instrumentation, and valves.
- Devise new approaches to problems encountered during design and engineering work.
- Perform work involving conventional engineering practice with complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
- Lead a functional area on a small project or a segment of a larger project.
- Conduct employee performance appraisals and coach and develop lower-level professionals.
Advanced Controls & Optimization
- May be responsible for advanced controls optimization across systems.
Project Planning & Coordination
- Plan, budget, organize, coordinate, and control the project.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Minimum five (5) years preferred experience on offshore projects in the GCC region.
- Licensed or Chartered Professional Engineer certification preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Broad knowledge of engineering precedents and conventional engineering practice.
- Functional expertise in instrumentation and controls engineering.
- Ability to work under general supervision as a fully trained professional.
- Leadership and team development capabilities.
