Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is one of the main clients, along with Tier 1 and Tier 2 EPC contractors in this sector. The company has the expertise to carry out full EPC&M services for electrical and instrumentation works and brings intrinsic knowledge to measure and automate exploration, production, separation, refining processes, and distribution through localized services.

Role Purpose

The Job Performer supervises electrical and instrumentation construction and installation activities on ADNOC projects, ensuring all work is executed safely, within approved permits and scope, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Permit & Authorization Management

• Coordinate with the Performing Authority (PA) and Operations for obtaining, receiving, validating, suspending and closing applicable work permits in accordance with WMS requirements.
• Ensure all required PTW, TRA/JSA, Method Statements, drawings, certificates and supporting documents are approved and available before starting work.
• Stop work immediately in case of unsafe conditions, change in work scope, conflicting or SIMOPS activities, emergency situations or violation of PTW requirements.

Safety & Hazard Control

• Conduct or participate in Toolbox Talks (TBT) and ensure the workforce understands the work scope, hazards, control measures and emergency requirements.
• Verify the worksite is safe and all permit conditions and precautions are implemented before commencement of work.
• Ensure personnel, tools, equipment and materials are suitable, inspected and approved before use.
• Ensure required PPE is used and ADNOC HSE requirements are followed throughout the activity.
• Coordinate with HSE personnel for site inspections and implementation of required HSE control measures.
• Ensure work is stopped and the worksite is made safe upon permit suspension, shift completion or emergency.
• Immediately report incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, equipment damage and abnormal site conditions.

Site Supervision & Execution

• Maintain continuous supervision of site activities and ensure work remains within the approved permit, Method Statement and defined scope.
• Supervise installation, modification, removal, testing and pre-commissioning activities within the assigned scope.
• Ensure only the latest approved IFC drawings, Method Statements, procedures and technical documents are used at site.
• Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications, approved drawings and applicable ADNOC requirements.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, barricading, access control and protection of existing facilities during execution.
• Coordinate reinstatement and restoration of the worksite after completion of activities.
• Ensure completed work is ready for inspection, testing, pre-commissioning and subsequent handover.

Coordination & Interface Management

• Coordinate with the Construction Manager and Project Engineer for daily work fronts, manpower, materials, access and construction priorities.
• Coordinate with EPCM Contractor, Company Operations and other contractors for worksite interfaces and SIMOPS requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspections, RFI requirements, hold and witness points and closure of construction observations.
• Ensure proper handover of work status and permit conditions during shift changes where applicable.
• Participate in daily coordination meetings, site walkthroughs and construction and HSE meetings when required.

Documentation & Reporting

• Monitor daily manpower, equipment, material availability and work progress and report constraints to the Construction Manager and Project Engineer.
• Ensure punch points and site observations related to assigned activities are properly addressed and closed.
• Maintain daily site records including manpower, activities completed, work permits, progress, constraints and site observations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma, ITI or Technical qualification in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical or relevant discipline.
• Valid ADNOC WMS Certificate and previous Job Performer (JP) approval or certification.
• Four years or more of relevant construction and site supervision experience in Oil & Gas projects, preferably.
• Previous experience in ADNOC operating facilities or brownfield projects is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Good understanding of ADNOC WMS, PTW, TRA/JSA, TBT, SIMOPS and HSE requirements.
• Ability to read and understand IFC drawings, layouts, P&IDs, installation drawings and Method Statements relevant to the assigned discipline.
• Good communication and coordination skills with Operations, EPCM, HSE, QA/QC and construction teams.
• Knowledge of brownfield construction, testing and pre-commissioning activities.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic project environment.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
