Role Overview
J2EE Developer position at VAM Systems for Qatar operations. VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Technology Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore and India.
Role Purpose
Develop and implement Java/J2EE solutions for deployment within large-scale enterprise environments, working with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, well-tested applications.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with key stakeholders, internal and external, to understand the product and user requirements of the solutions being created.
Design & Documentation
- Generate appropriate design documents, wireframes and other forms of documentation to clearly represent the solutions being created.
Collaboration & Review
- Work with other development team members to allow them to implement the designs, including design and code reviews.
Development & Implementation
- Implement and code solutions to specification.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Generate unit tests and other testing strategies to ensure the products are being tested thoroughly to produce quality products.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years experience as a Java/J2EE developer
- Experience working with and designing solutions that use large-scale relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
- Development experience in a Linux environment
- Previous work with large-scale networks and systems
Skills & Competencies
- JSF, Hibernate, EJB, JPA, Glassfish and Tomcat
- Web development languages including HTML, JavaScript, JSF, AJAX and JSP
- Web technologies such as DWR (Direct Web Remoting) and JQuery
- Agile development methodology, in particular Scrum
Additional Information
- Joining timeframe: 30 days.
- Selected candidates will join VAM Systems – Qatar and be deputed to one of the leading Government Organizations in Qatar.
