Role Overview
IT Technician at ABIS. The role provides technical support and ensures smooth operation of IT systems within the organization.
Role Purpose
Support end users and maintain IT infrastructure by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing network systems, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure reliable system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to end users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
Systems & Infrastructure
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems to ensure reliable performance.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, inventory, and support activities.
- Assist in the setup and support of new equipment and IT infrastructure projects.
Collaboration & Improvement
- Collaborate with team members to improve IT systems and processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience or knowledge in computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols and configurations.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
