Role Overview
IT Specialist at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard, part of Fa Evax Saasfaprod1. The role supports the hotel's daily IT operations by maintaining systems, networks, and technology infrastructure in line with IHG standards.
Role Purpose
Ensure reliable technical support, system security, and efficient operation of hotel technology across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues across all hotel departments.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, printers, network devices, and other IT equipment.
- Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, backups, and antivirus management.
- Provide basic user training and guidance on hotel systems and IT best practices.
Systems & Infrastructure
- Maintain and monitor hotel systems including PMS, POS, email, internet, telephony, and other business applications.
- Monitor network performance, Wi-Fi connectivity, and system availability to minimize downtime.
Access & Security
- Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and system access in accordance with hotel security policies.
- Ensure compliance with IHG IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection requirements.
Operations & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, maintenance logs, and support requests.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment repairs and system maintenance when required.
- Support IT projects, system upgrades, and technology implementations across the hotel.
- Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of IT support experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and computer networks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with hotel applications.
- Experience with hotel systems such as Opera PMS, POS, and Active Directory is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
