Role Overview

ISIPCA Intern position at IFF, based in Dubai. This internship is designed for Year 3 IFF ISIPCA students to evolve into market-aware, technically skilled, and professionally mature future perfumers.

Role Purpose

Through a combination of creative training, fragrance formulation practice, category immersion, consumer understanding, scientific exposure, and ongoing mentorship, you will gain hands-on experience across the fragrance creation process. Working alongside Scent Design & Creation and cross-functional teams, you will build the knowledge, capabilities, and business understanding needed to support your development toward a successful career in perfumery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support

• Support multiple local and regional projects simultaneously across the perfumery organization.

Fragrance Creation & Development

• Contribute to creative fragrance projects under the guidance of experienced perfumers and fragrance professionals.
• Complete a creative exercise ('the brief') to develop technical and creative perfumery skills.
• Assist with fragrance evaluations and sensory learning activities to strengthen olfactory capabilities.
• Support the Scent Design Group team on a variety of initiatives to deepen understanding of fragrance development.

Laboratory Operations

• Learn and apply laboratory best practices, including safety, organization, and sample handling procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Currently enrolled in Year 3 of the ISIPCA Scent Design and Creation program.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Additional local language skills relevant to the location are an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment while following established safety and quality standards.
• Strong creative thinking skills and an interest in translating concepts into compelling fragrance experiences.
• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and openness to feedback and development opportunities.
• Interest in exploring multiple fragrance-related career paths and building a long-term career in perfumery.
