Role Overview

Maintenance Technician (IRC26219) at Napco National.

Role Purpose

Execute repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and 5S activities to restore machines to adequate working condition and maintain operational standards in compliance with work instructions, machine manuals, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Repair & Troubleshooting

• Receive Repair Request tasks from Maintenance Team Leader and carry out repair activities in accordance with set Work Instructions and Machine Manuals to restore machines to adequate working condition.
• Seek Lead Technician or Team Leader assistance in troubleshooting breakdowns upon need.
• Request Spare Parts using the Spare Parts Requisition Form and relay the request to Maintenance Team Leader for pre-approval to ensure adequate spare part consumption.

Maintenance & Calibration

• Receive Scheduled and Preventive Maintenance tasks from Maintenance Team Leader and carry out activities according to set checklists, highlighting any new findings for further scheduling.
• Carry out In-house Calibration tasks based on Maintenance Team Leader instructions and according to set Calibration Work Instructions.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

• Upon repair completion, write the Finishing Time, task description, any pending tasks or newly discovered findings on the Repair Request Form to document records.
• Upon repair completion, seek Production Team Leader feedback and approval on the Repair Request Form prior to submitting it to Maintenance Team Leader to ensure Production satisfaction on the performed task.

Housekeeping & Continuous Improvement

• Upon repair completion, clean the working area according to Post Maintenance Cleaning Work Instructions to return the area clean and free from work residues.
• Assume 5S duties according to the set 5S plan to enhance working conditions.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Become familiar with health and safety procedures and instructions of assigned functions.
• Follow NAPCO-IFP safety standards and comply with Saudi Labor rules and legislation.
• Contribute in different Occupational Health and Safety activities and attend safety meetings as required.
• Attend all training offered by the company.
• Report any incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions or acts to direct supervisor or to the camp boss if related to accommodation.
• Immediately correct unsafe conditions if safe to do so and where possible.
• Ensure that all safety precautions are in place before starting any work.
• Refuse to perform work when unsafe conditions exist.
• Use the provided Personal Protective Equipment safety equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment and vehicles before use.
• Be familiar with the emergency response plan and location of first aid and firefighting equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Maintenance Technician.
• Basic knowledge in gears, gearbox and oils (Mechanical Technician).
• Basic knowledge in air compressor, pneumatics and hydraulics (Mechanical Technician).
• Basic knowledge in mechanical tools (Mechanical Technician).
• Familiarity with basic electrical tools, equipment and components (Electrical Technician).
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and electrical drawings (Electrical Technician).
• Work experience in the industry (added advantage).

Skills & Competencies

• English knowledge with Excel or Word proficiency (added advantage).
