Internship 2027, Disputes & Economics at Ankura, supporting the Disputes & Economics Practice within the firm's client-focused service lines.

The Disputes & Economics Practice assists clients with financial and accounting issues associated with complex litigation and international arbitration. The practice prepares expert reports and provides oral testimony in court and arbitrations on forensic accounting, damages, valuation matters, and competition and class action claims.
Role Purpose
This ten-week internship provides exposure to forensic accounting, valuation, and economics work in a dispute resolution environment. It is designed for those pursuing an accounting qualification and exploring whether this career path is right for them, while building technical and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
Client Project Work
- Experience varied client work across forensic accounting, valuation, and economics matters.
- Work collaboratively as part of project teams with skilled, intelligent, and driven professionals.
Financial Analysis
- Conduct document review and analysis, including financial statement analysis.
- Assist in preparation of valuation models, including cash flow analysis and discount rate estimation.
- Perform econometric analysis for those with a background in economics.
Research and Reporting
- Carry out and collate research.
- Present findings to the project team.
- Conclude the internship with a presentation demonstrating skills and knowledge acquired.
Qualifications & Experience
- Be in your penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or in your final year of an undergraduate degree with a confirmed one-year postgraduate place.
- Achieve or be on course for a 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent or above.
- Interest in a career in forensic accountancy, valuation, and/or economics.
- View to obtaining an ACA Accounting qualification or equivalent professional qualification in the future.

Additional Information
Ankura is a registered training provider and supports graduates in obtaining an accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA, or CFA chartership. The firm will provide one-to-one and small group technical training on topics including accounting and valuation. You will develop analysis, report writing, and Excel skills. You will be assigned a buddy and a mentor to welcome you, help you integrate into the company, and support your development. They will assist in setting goals for your ten-week tenure and facilitate biweekly meetings to develop your technical skills.
