International Logistics Specialist

Role Overview

International Logistics Specialist at On, based on location as specified by the employer.

Role Purpose

Own the company's customs affairs and international logistics operations, managing the full scope of import/export processes including freight forwarding, customs clearance, documentation, and supplier relationships to ensure efficient, cost-effective global cargo movement.

Key Responsibilities

Customs & Regulatory Compliance

• Master international trade terms (Incoterms 2020) and comprehensive knowledge of international transportation (sea/air freight), insurance, and customs clearance processes.
• Handle customs declaration and clearance independently, with expertise in Middle East regulations, especially Saudi Arabia, highly desirable.
• Prepare various documents required for cargo export and customs compliance.

Logistics Operations

• Manage independent international logistics business operations including space booking and container loading for sea and air freight.
• Coordinate transportation and distribution activities to deliver goods on schedule.
• Process tax refunds and related documentation.

Route & Cost Optimization

• Collect and organize information on freight forwarders, transportation routes, and pricing.
• Determine advantageous routes based on the company's cargo shipment status to optimize logistics efficiency.

Supplier Management

• Participate in supplier development and management including daily inquiries, price comparisons, and expense verification.
• Conduct settlement processes with freight forwarders and logistics partners.
• Reduce costs and control risks through effective supplier relationship management.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Maintain timely contact and excellent communication with domestic and overseas freight forwarders.
• Actively resolve issues during cargo shipment to ensure smooth delivery of goods.
• Demonstrate strong internal collaboration with R&D, production, quality, procurement, finance, and other departments to support business operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in international freight forwarding and customs declaration preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with customs declaration and clearance in the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia, highly desirable.
