Role Overview

Internal Medicine Registrar position with Nahdi in Riyadh. The role diagnoses and treats injuries or illnesses through patient examination, medical history-taking, medication prescription, and diagnostic testing.

Role Purpose

Deliver comprehensive internal medicine care by assessing and treating patients, designing individualized care plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic investigations, and counseling patients on preventive healthcare and medication use.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Patient Management

• Assess patients and document findings.
• Design and execute the patient's plan of care.
• Examine patients and take medical histories.
• Prescribe medications for patients.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Order and review results of patients' investigations.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare relevant to their individual cases.
• Integrate population factors of heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into a patient's care.

Patient Education

• Educate patients on their health condition, investigations required, treatment options, and medication use.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.

Quality & Compliance

• Fulfill obligations related to Patient Records.
• Adhere to all Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) Policies and Procedures, Bylaws, Strategic Plan, Rules & Regulation.
• Adhere to the mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines in NCC.
• Adhere to CBAHI standards of care.
• Comply with clinical and departmental structure standards, including attendance.
• Observe measures to ensure Clinical, MOH, and CBAHI quality standards and regulations are met.
• Complete fire safety requirements.

Governance & Collaboration

• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments of NCC, local agencies, vendors, patients, their families, and other interested parties.
• Actively participate in all NCC Committees and Task Forces to which assigned.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities.

Professional Development

• Participate in continuous professional development of all junior staff.
• Develop, participate in, and support an active Continuing Medical Education program for the Section, Department, or Clinical area assigned by the chairman, which may include rounds, conferences, lectures, journal clubs, and other educational activities.
• Maintain evidence-based practice orientation.

Specialty Practice

• Exercise specific privileges based on training, experience, skills, and guidelines of the Saudi health council.
• Perform additional tasks based on specialty and Clinical Privileges.
• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from recognized universities.
• Master's degree in related specialty from recognized universities, or Fellowship with SCFHS approval.
• Two years of clinical experience following Master's degree, or eligibility to sit the board examination in the specialty.
• SCFHS License.
• Licensed as Registrar in related specialty from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency with Office and Health Information Systems.
• Fluent speaking and writing in English and Arabic.

Additional Information

• Working days: 6 days per week.
• Days off: 1 day per week.
• Working hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
• Work environment: 100% indoors.
