Role Overview

Internship position at Weatherford UAE. This summer 2023 internship offers hands-on experience across Corporate Functions in Finance, Accounting, Sales, Legal, Supply Chain, and Human Resources.

Role Purpose

Provide interns with practical industry experience, professional development, and meaningful project work that drives personal success and organizational impact. Interns will gain familiarity with Health, Safety and Environment standards, the oil and gas industry, and Weatherford's business operations while working across functional groups to develop solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Safety, Security & Compliance

• Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with Company Security, Compliance and HSE policies, Management System, relevant laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices.
• Place Quality, Health and Safety, Security and protection of the Environment as core values, never intentionally placing employees, processes, customers or communities at risk.
• Seek continual improvement in Health, Safety, Security and protection of the Environment, considering responsible care, process vulnerabilities, public, customer and employee inputs, knowledge, technology and best business practices.
• Apply Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained.

Quality

• Become familiar with the Company's Quality policies and take an active role in compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System.
• Maintain service quality as an immediate priority when working across all business areas and continually seek areas for improvement.

Operations

• Receive coaching and mentoring to understand the organization, projects, and develop skills.
• Complete internal projects to identify business improvements and critical customer outcomes.
• Learn about the organization, systems and processes to assist with project and task completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders.
• Present project outcomes to Senior Leadership team.
• Provide feedback at the conclusion of the internship.

Communication

• Maintain effective communications with all key stakeholders, both internal and where appropriate external.

Financial

• Exercise financial responsibility, ensuring costs incurred are within approved budget, processed within agreed timeframes and following relevant financial policy and procedure.

People & Development

• Take responsibility for developing your own career within the Company, including completing all necessary function, compliance and business standards training.
• Engage on a regular basis with your line manager to discuss personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance skills and experience.

Vision & Leadership

• Demonstrate leadership, ethical behaviour and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's level degree program.
• Possess an interest in learning, observing, and practicing a variety of experiences in the oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrate awareness, understanding, and skills necessary to work in a diverse environment.
• Be able to legally work in the United States without company sponsorship or time restriction.

Additional Information

• This role may require domestic and potentially international travel.
• Interns will be supported by their manager and the Talent Development team to ensure professional growth and knowledge of the organization and industry.
• Interns will participate in technically focused training and professional development training.
