Role Purpose

To support the culinary operations of Anantara Downtown Dubai by assisting in food preparation and service, maintaining hygiene and food safety standards, and contributing to a seamless guest dining experience across all outlets and events.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Service

• Assist in the preparation and service of food for all outlets.
• Prepare mise en place as required.
• Adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to guests.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Continually look for opportunities to recommend improvements and additions to Anantara presentation guidelines.

Hygiene & Food Safety

• Keep all working areas clean and tidy to maintain hygienic surroundings.
• Maintain food safety and protection by ensuring all food in working areas complies with proper food-handling techniques, including dating, storage, and rotation.
• Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Adhere to all personal hygiene and grooming standards.

Facilities & Operations

• Take responsibility for looking after all hotel property and facilities.
• Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.

Events & Functions

• Assist at events, banquets, and other functions as required.

Training & Compliance

• Participate in departmental training to improve departmental skills and hotel service levels.
• Adhere to fire safety rules and health and safety regulations.
