Role Overview

Intermediate Maintenance (ISE) MIR position at RTX, located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is a short-term onsite assignment.

Role Purpose

Provide dedicated intermediate maintenance support to UAE Intermediate Maintenance Contact Teams at the Central Maintenance Facility, assisting with testing, checkout, repair, and maintenance of PATRIOT major end items when Fire Unit problems exceed unit maintenance capabilities. Support includes fault isolation, diagnostic procedures, and training for UAE CMF Maintenance Technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance and Repair Operations

• Assist with testing, checkout, repair, and maintenance of all PATRIOT major end items beyond unit maintenance capability.
• Support maintenance of PATRIOT system float Major End Items at the CMF/Depot.
• Assist in isolating complex electronic problems between hardware, software, and Battery Replaceable Units (BRUs).

Fault Isolation and Diagnostics

• Isolate hardware and software problems using electronic repair and fault isolation procedures.
• Perform system diagnostics, unit self-checks, and BITE procedures.
• Use ECS troubleshooting software aids including Status Monitor, Switch 9, System Exerciser, and Radar Action Cycler to distinguish between digital and analog problems.
• Utilize common industry external test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, spectrum and digital analyzers.

Training and Support

• Provide on-the-job and informal training as required for UAE CMF Maintenance Technicians.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated experience in the operation, sustainment, and operations of the PATRIOT Missile System Radar equipment.
• Trained and knowledgeable in operation, sustainment, and troubleshooting procedures of the PATRIOT Radar Missile System equipment.
• Knowledge of operational and analytical software used on PATRIOT radar systems.
• Experienced in using ECS troubleshooting software aids.
• Knowledge in utilization of common industry external test equipment.
• Successful completion of a PATRIOT System Intermediate Maintenance Course for MOS 27X/94S/948D6D or equivalent course of instruction on similar electronic system conducted by the military or system contractor.
• Demonstrated experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order (DAMWO) installations, including system integration and checkout.
• Preferred: Previous experience in International PATRIOT Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Programs.
• Preferred: Experience living and working in an overseas location.
• Preferred: Five (5) years PATRIOT Depot Forward maintenance experience working on Configuration III+ PATRIOT Equipment.
• Preferred: Demonstrated experience with Raytheon Quality Control procedures and PATRIOT refurbishment, modification, and system integration and checkout (SICO) process.
• Preferred: Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP)/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, or similar business processes.
• Preferred: Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support and comprehensive planning skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills with focus on achieving active participation across the business.
• Ability to work in extreme desert heat environments.

Additional Information

Security Requirements

• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• DoD Clearance: Secret level required.
• Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.

Work Arrangement

• Onsite role; employees work primarily onsite as essential to product development.
• Candidates may be asked to attend select interview steps in-person at RTX office locations.

• Salary range: $86,800 USD – $165,200 USD (based on experience level, role, function, education, training, and key skills).
