Role Purpose
The Intellectual Property Expert will contribute to EVA Pharma's mission of enhancing human health and well-being by ensuring the highest standards of excellence in intellectual property strategy and risk management for pharmaceutical product development and regulatory submissions in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
Freedom to Operate & Patent Analysis
- Conduct thorough FTO analyses and patent landscape reviews for potential generic product candidates prior to development and launch.
- Develop strategies to challenge weak or invalid patents through opposition procedures.
Risk Assessment & Compliance
- Identify, assess, and quantify IP risks associated with New Drug Applications (NDAs) and Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) submissions.
- Ensure all KSA product registrations are complete from an IP perspective for regulatory submissions.
Strategic Guidance & Documentation
- Provide clear, actionable, and risk-weighted recommendations to the Portfolio Management, R&D, and Business Development teams on product selection and development strategies.
- Draft formal FTO opinions and manage documentation to support business decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
- A law degree and/or a specialized qualification in Intellectual Property law is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of direct experience in an IP role, with a strong preference for experience within the generic pharmaceutical industry.
