Role Overview
Insurance Analyst (Insurance Planning Specialist) with Citi in Dubai. You will serve as the primary insurance subject matter expert supporting Client Advisors and high-net-worth clients across life insurance and wealth protection solutions within Citi's Wealth Advisory team.

Role Purpose
Drive insurance revenue within Citi's consumer wealth management business by combining deep product knowledge with hands-on client advisory and sales. You will shape insurance strategy, develop client relationships, and deliver measurable outcomes for high-net-worth clients across a broad range of life insurance and wealth protection solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Product Strategy
- Act as the insurance subject matter expert for Client Advisors, advising high-net-worth clients on suitable insurance solutions across wealth protection, accumulation, retirement planning, child education, estate preservation, and endowment planning.
- Design and recommend tailored insurance strategies that align with each client's financial goals, risk profile, and long-term planning needs.
- Assess complex client financial situations and structure appropriate solutions using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Sales & Pipeline Management
- Build and manage an active insurance sales pipeline by engaging prospective clients directly, following through each opportunity to closure independently or alongside Client Advisors.
- Deliver quality after-sales service to deepen client relationships and generate referral business that expands the client base.
Team Development & Collaboration
- Coach and upskill Client Advisors on insurance concepts, products, and sales processes to strengthen team capability and generate qualified referrals.
- Collaborate with the Insurance Product Head and insurer partners to develop new product offerings, client promotions, and targeted micro-marketing events.
Compliance & Governance
- Identify, escalate, and address compliance and conduct matters in line with insurance sales regulations, anti-money laundering requirements, and internal governance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 3–5 years of experience selling life insurance products in the UAE market, with strong command of UAE-based life insurance products and underlying mutual funds.
- Demonstrated background in wealth management with combined sales and product focus, including familiarity with financial planning concepts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance, investment management, and current market, economic, and financial trends relevant to high-net-worth client advisory.
- MBA or business degree qualification.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Dubai.
- Professional insurance certification such as Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification or equivalent is beneficial.
- Experience organizing or participating in client-facing marketing events within a banking or financial services environment is beneficial.
