Role Purpose

Perform hands-on troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of industrial instrumentation and valve systems in a fertilizer plant environment, ensuring equipment reliability and operational safety.

Key Responsibilities

Instrumentation Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot, inspect, test, and perform preventive maintenance on pressure, level, flow, and temperature transmitters.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, test, and perform preventive maintenance on pressure, level, flow, and temperature switches.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, test, and perform preventive maintenance on pH and conductivity analyzers.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, test, and perform preventive maintenance on vibration instrumentation including accelerometers, velometers, proximity probes, speed probes, and proximitors.

Valve Systems & Accessories

• Troubleshoot, inspect, test, and perform preventive maintenance on control valves, on-off valves, and solenoid valves.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, test, and perform preventive maintenance on valve accessories including solenoid valves, valve pneumatic and electropneumatic positioners, pneumatic relays, air regulators and filters, and lubricators.

Installation & Configuration

• Remove, install, and adjust vibration probes according to machine requirements.
• Operate hand tools for instrument installation and maintenance activities.

Testing & Calibration

• Use test instruments for calibration, troubleshooting, configuration, and testing of instruments.

Documentation & Communication

• Prepare basic technical reports on maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.

Safety & Compliance

• Demonstrate awareness of safety requirements specific to fertilizer plant operations.
• Operate effectively within work permit systems used in large-scale process industries.
• Demonstrate awareness of personal protective equipment (PPEs) required in fertilizer plant environments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical diploma in respective trade (12+3 years education).
• Five years of relevant hands-on experience in respective trade within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer industry.
• Proven competency and experience as required in the relevant scope of work.

Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of transmitters, switches, analyzers, vibration instrumentation, and valve systems.
• Competent use of hand tools and test instruments.
• Basic report-writing skills.
• Written and spoken English communication.
• Knowledge of fertilizer plant safety requirements and work permit systems.
• Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPEs) used in fertilizer plants.
