Role Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Mechanical Inspector (Site Operation) in the UAE to conduct site supervision, quality assurance oversight, and compliance monitoring on mechanical construction projects.

Role Purpose
The Mechanical Inspector ensures that Contractors comply with contract standards, specifications, and health and safety measures through systematic observation, measurement, testing, and documentation. The role supports the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer in site supervision and quality control implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Read and understand package contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, together with any associated updates.
- Ensure Contractors are complying with the standards and specifications of the contract documents through observation, measurements, and testing.
- Track quality assurance progress.
- Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements by performing inspection duties.
- Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
Site Supervision & Documentation
- Undertake all site supervision and inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer or the Assistant Resident Engineer.
- Document in assigned areas the Contractor's personnel and equipment, activities observed, location of activities, reason for activities, and means and methods utilized.
- Maintain records of the Contractor's manpower and equipment daily resources.
- Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks needed by the leader.
Instruction Implementation & Reporting
- Follow up and implement any site instructions made by the leader.
- Report on materials delivery.
- Monitor health and safety of the construction works and report on violations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of overall experience in construction supervision with a consultancy.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the UAE.
- Experience on mechanical-related type projects required.
- Buildings, high-rise, or villa project experience preferred.
