Role Overview
Inspector - Electrical at AtkinsRéalis. This role is based on large-scale villa and township development projects where you will ensure all electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Role Purpose
To conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, installations, and materials across villa units, common areas, and township infrastructure, ensuring compliance with approved specifications, safety standards, local authority regulations, and quality benchmarks throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Compliance
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, installations, and materials across villa units, common areas, and township infrastructure including street lighting, utilities, and substations.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and local authority regulations.
- Review and interpret electrical layouts, schematics, shop drawings, and method statements for site compliance.
- Monitor installation of cabling, DBs, lighting systems, earthing, panels, and ELV systems in villas and township areas.
- Verify testing and commissioning activities including insulation resistance, earthing, continuity, and functional tests.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Identify non-conformances (NCRs) and provide corrective and preventive action recommendations.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, snag lists, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor progress of electrical works and ensure compliance with construction schedules and quality benchmarks.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve site issues and ensure timely closure.
- Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, and inspections with authorities and consultants.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure implementation of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and safe work practices on site.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in electrical inspection, preferably in villa developments, gated communities or townships, or residential infrastructure projects.
- Experience in site supervision and QA/QC processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOQs.
- Familiarity with inspection checklists, ITPs, and documentation protocols.
- Certification in Electrical Inspection, QA/QC, or Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, QA/QC certifications) is an advantage.
- Prior experience working with consultants or PMC roles in township projects is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of LV distribution, street lighting, earthing, and utilities.
- Strong knowledge of local authority regulations (e.g., BESCOM, DEWA, etc. depending on location).
- Strong knowledge of international codes such as IEC and NEC.
- Knowledge of ELV systems (CCTV, access control, fire alarm) is a plus.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools.
