Inertial Solutions Systems Engineer

Role Overview

Inertial Solutions Systems Engineer at Si-Ware Systems. This role supports the validation and characterization of Si-Ware's inertial systems through test automation, embedded design, hardware debugging, and testing to ensure high performance and reliability of inertial products.

Role Purpose

To validate and characterize inertial systems through systematic test automation, hardware debugging, embedded firmware analysis, and data analysis, ensuring the high performance and reliability of Si-Ware's inertial products.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Execution

• Develop and maintain robust automated test plans and scripts for high-speed data acquisition and control.
• Create and maintain proprietary device drivers for performance characterization.

Hardware Debugging & Signal Integrity

• Utilize advanced laboratory equipment, including high-bandwidth Oscilloscopes, Logic/Protocol Analyzers, and Digital Multimeters (DMMs), to perform hardware diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot and isolate root causes for signal integrity issues and communication protocol errors on Printed Circuit Boards.

Embedded Firmware Analysis

• Review, trace, and debug C-based firmware to understand sensor logic, internal state machines, and calibration.
• Validate the correct implementation of digital interfaces, including SPI and I2C communication protocols.
• Verify register configurations.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Process, clean, and analyze datasets generated from testing runs.
• Create and maintain clear, high-quality technical documentation, including validation reports, test procedures, and bug reports.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with design, firmware, and production teams to drive issues to resolution.
