ID Draughtsman

Role Overview

ID Draughtsman position with Al Shirawi Group. The role requires UAE experience and capability to handle various project types including residential, commercial, and hospitality.

Role Purpose

Prepare detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out projects while coordinating across construction sites, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure compliance with contract requirements and design specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Drawing Preparation & Production

• Prepare all shop drawing submittals as per contract requirements and IFC/ID drawings.
• Produce conceptual design, architectural, and interior design drawings when required.
• Carry out main drawings based on specifications provided by the Manager Projects.
• Prepare shop drawings.
• Send drawings to client for approval.
• Plan and issue drawings as per requirements of Architect.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with construction site, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Review site details with Engineers, Manager Projects, and Architect.
• Provide related project details to sales department based on customer-supplied drawings and site measurements.

Drawing Management & Documentation

• Record all drawing distribution in the drawing control register.
• Update drawing register regularly.
• Update drawings as required.

Design & Problem-Solving

• Solve problems by thinking laterally and understanding project needs and requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years of experience as an ID Draughtsman in an interior fit-out company.
• UAE experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Revit and CAD drawings.
• Proficient in 2D imagery applications such as Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to refer to and understand the scope of work of projects.
