Role Overview

HVAC Technician – Engineering at Jumeirah Jabal Omar in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, reporting to the Engineering department.

Jumeirah Jabal Omar is located minutes from Masjid Al Haram in the Holy City and spans four towers offering dining venues, retail outlets, a gym, executive lounge, and meeting spaces. The hotel provides views of the Grand Mosque and culinary offerings spanning Mediterranean, Persian, Middle Eastern, and Southeast Asian cuisines.

Role Purpose

Maintain and optimize all HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and climate control infrastructure across the hotel to ensure safe, efficient operation, guest comfort, and compliance with all safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance and Operations

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with approved schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain and service heating, cooling, AHU (Air Handling Units), FAHU (Fresh Air Handling Units), and FCU (Fan Coil Units) to ensure optimal climate control in guest rooms and public areas.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot ventilation and exhaust fans to ensure proper air circulation and indoor air quality.
• Ensure all plant rooms, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and operational condition.

Performance and Optimization

• Monitor, analyze, and adjust system parameters to optimize performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.

Compliance

• Comply fully with JEMS requirements and all Fire, Life, Health, and Safety (FLHS) standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Diploma or ITI in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in the technical department.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of HEX systems, refrigeration cycles, CRAC units, and HVAC control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Office programs (Intermediate level).

Salary is paid in Saudi Riyals (SAR), the local currency of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
