Role Purpose
Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal mechanical plant operation and guest comfort. Monitor property temperature, energy consumption, and utilities usage while performing routine maintenance across mechanical systems and pool and spa facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance and Inspection
- Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment
- Maintain and conduct daily inspections of the mechanical plant
- Perform routine pool and spa maintenance
- Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring
- Assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and related components
Monitoring and Operations
- Monitor and control property temperature
- Monitor and analyze energy and utilities usage
- Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, and other equipment
Safety, Compliance, and Reporting
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Guest and Team Engagement
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs
- Speak with others using clear and professional language
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
Efficiency and Continuous Improvement
- Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Protect company assets
Physical Duties
- Reach overhead and below the knees
- Move in confined or elevated spaces
- Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
- Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
- Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required
Skills & Certifications
- EPA Universal Certification
- HVAC Certification
- Valid Driver's License
