Role Overview
HVAC Technician - Assessor at Intrepid Global Solutions. This role is based in a deployed location, requiring 100% travel and relocation.

Role Purpose
Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial HVAC equipment such as boilers, chillers, and light commercial units. This role requires theoretical knowledge of air conditioning and chilled water production alongside practical mechanical and electrical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Inspections & Assessment
- Coordinate and perform inspections on HVAC systems and components, including heating units, building exhaust fans, and ventilation units, to evaluate condition and identify necessary repairs.
- Recommend preventive maintenance based on assessment findings.
- Diagnose causes of problems and failures in HVAC systems to identify equipment and systems repair or replacement needs.
Installation & Repairs
- Perform installations of HVAC equipment and systems.
- Monitor repairs on systems and components, including pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, and piping.
Maintenance & Operations
- Track performance of routine and preventive maintenance to ensure HVAC systems availability.
Coordination & Project Management
- Coordinate with HVAC Lead and Trade Shop Supervisor on completing projects and work orders efficiently.
- Respond to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
Documentation & Inventory
- Prepare written reports for work order status, activity logs, and documentation of activities.
- Request equipment and supplies to maintain correct inventory amounts and ensure availability of items required for installations and repairs.
General Duties
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least five (5) years' journey-level HVAC experience.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
Skills & Competencies
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools common to the trade.
- Ability to interpret and apply codes, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of operation and installation of a variety of complete HVAC systems and equipment.
Additional Information
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Valid U.S. Passport preferred.
- Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather, and hazardous conditions.
- Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Travel requirement: 100% in deployed location.
