Role Purpose

Maintain, repair, and optimize all HVAC, refrigeration, and electro-mechanical systems across the facility to ensure guest comfort, equipment reliability, and energy efficiency while adhering to local building codes and preventive maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Operations Monitoring

• Monitor work progress on maintenance request orders.
• Ensure all preventive maintenance is scheduled and completed.
• Monitor all plant operations including HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
• Check all operations working smoothly including HVAC, refrigeration, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Keep record of all equipment on daily and monthly basis.
• Ensure implementation of all energy conservation programs as directed.
• Perform daily, routine, and preventive maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on facility refrigeration equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Repair or replace any faulty, hazardous, or broken HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

Installation & Configuration

• Supervise and monitor all installations taking place.
• Plan new or modified HVAC and refrigeration systems to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring while meeting local building codes.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble HVAC ductwork.
• Connect HVAC and refrigeration wiring to household power supply.
• Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and thermostats in HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Arrange for equipment installation for functions.
• Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps in order to repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Assist on projects involving HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

Environmental & Guest Comfort

• Ensure environmental control of guest comfort during shift.

Materials & Inventory Management

• Assess materials and spare parts required and inform the supervisor or director of engineering for purchase requisition.
• Keep full record of spare parts and update the supervisor about spare parts inventory.
• Update director of engineering about spare parts requirements and usage well before actual use.
• Monitor deliveries from suppliers and ensure correct storing procedures.
• Keep all tools in good working condition.

Reporting & Administration

• Assist supervisor by collecting data required for monthly reports.
• Update the supervisor or director of engineering on all operations.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Availability

• Participate in the weekend on-call schedule and respond to calls in a timely and appropriate manner.

General Duties

• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• HVAC and refrigeration technician certificate from college, technical school, or accredited facility.
• Two years of HVAC and refrigeration training and/or experience, or equivalent combination of both.

• Good English communication skills.
