Role Purpose

Oversee the operation, maintenance, and emergency repair of all air-conditioning systems at the hotel. Ensure systems run efficiently and safely while maintaining the hotel's service standards and minimizing guest disruption.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

• Supervise all air-conditioning systems of the hotel.
• Carry out routine and planned preventive maintenance as per schedule.
• Establish and maintain familiarity with HVAC layout of the hotel.
• Attend to day-to-day problems and issues.
• Maintain all relevant log sheets.

Emergency Response & Repairs

• Carry out emergency repairs and adjustments to all AC equipment and machines.
• Ensure that trouble reports are swiftly dealt with.
• Troubleshoot complex HVAC issues quickly while ensuring minimum guest discomfort.
• Faults on equipment are to be immediately reported to the supervisor.

Safety & Compliance

• Carry out statutory and safety checks as instructed.
• Consider economy at all times and ensure all safety practices are followed.
• Maintain strong understanding of health, safety, and fire life safety standards applicable to hotels.

Planning & Recommendations

• Recommend minor or major repairs and perform duties necessary for completion of the job.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance using CMMS or maintenance schedules.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Notify supervisor on job completion.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Housekeeping, and Front Office teams.
• Meet Yes I Can! service standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or technical certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in HVAC maintenance.
• Preferably experience in a 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Proven supervisory experience, with the ability to lead, train, and schedule HVAC technicians effectively.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, and package units.
• Hands-on experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution using CMMS or maintenance schedules.
• Sound knowledge of HVAC controls, BMS systems, and energy management practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC issues quickly while ensuring minimum guest discomfort.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work closely with Engineering, Housekeeping, and Front Office teams.
