Role Overview
HVAC Supervisor at Samsung E&A. The role is based on-site at an industrial construction project, where you will supervise and manage HVAC and air-conditioning works for various engineering and construction initiatives.

Role Purpose
Supervise, manage, and support subcontractors in executing HVAC and air-conditioning construction work safely and in accordance with project specifications. Serve as the focal point for all HVAC/AC work orders, providing technical expertise, quality assurance, and progress management throughout project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scope Management
- Prepare Scope of Work (SOW) related to HVAC call-off contracts.
- Prepare construction Method Statements (M/S) based on specification and requirements.
- Ensure work requests are sufficiently detailed, clearly defining the scope of work, nature of the problem, and basic planning information.
- Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials are available in advance of construction implementation.
Subcontractor & Team Management
- Supervise, manage, and support subcontractors to proceed with construction effectively.
- Direct involvement and close supervision of activities of assigned subordinates and subcontractors.
- Plan, direct, and control the activities of subcontractors, including setting priorities, assigning tasks, and checking completed work.
- Support and develop peers across the multi-discipline operations team.
- Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.
Construction & Quality Assurance
- Conduct project management inspections, testing, and commissioning of HVAC/AC works for various projects.
- Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specifications and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Provide specialist support regarding installation of HVAC equipment.
- Execute daily work schedules in a safe, efficient, and diligent manner in accordance with approved procedures, routines, and industry standards.
Safety & Compliance
- Supervise and ensure safe conditions at construction sites in cooperation with the safety department.
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or equivalent documents based on specification and requirements.
Resource & Progress Management
- Ensure spare parts and materials are available for planned construction activities.
- Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly, and monthly work done quantities.
- Provide technical support during the implementation of HVAC projects work.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction reports.
- Record Best Practice (B/P) and Lessons Learned (L/L).
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Higher Diploma in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning or Mechanical Engineering.
- Supervisory level with site experience in the construction and maintenance of industrial buildings and workshops.
- Engineering and Construction Company working experience in the Middle East is preferred.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of International HVAC engineering and safety standards.
Skills & Competencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction management and engineering standards.
- Working knowledge of principles and practices.
- Commissioning expertise.
- Trouble-shooting capability.
- Computer literacy in mainstream Office products (MS Office).
- Exposure to online management, document, and maintenance systems including SAP.
