Role Purpose

Supervise and manage HVAC/AC construction works and subcontractors to ensure safe, quality execution in accordance with project specifications. Serve as the focal point for all HVAC/AC work orders and provide technical support throughout project implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Subcontractor & Team Management

• Supervise, manage and support subcontractors to proceed with construction effectively in accordance with project specification under safe conditions.
• Direct involvement and close supervision of activities of assigned subordinates and subcontractors.
• Plan, direct and control the activities of sub-contractors including setting priorities, assigning tasks, and checking completed work.
• Support and develop peers across the multi-discipline operations team.

Scope Planning & Work Orders

• Prepare Scope of Work (SOW) related to HVAC call-off contract.
• Ensure work requests are sufficiently detailed, clearly defining the scope of work or nature of the problem along with basic planning information.
• Prepare construction Method Statement (M/S) based on specification and requirements.
• Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or equivalent documents based on specification and requirements.

Quality & Compliance

• Conduct project management inspections, testing and commissioning of HVAC/AC works for various projects.
• Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specification and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
• Provide specialist support with regards to installation of HVAC equipment.
• Execute daily work schedules in a safe, efficient, and diligent manner in accordance with approved procedures, routines, and industry standards.

Safety & Site Management

• Supervise and ensure safe conditions at construction site in cooperation with safety department.
• Record Best Practice (B/P) and Lessons Learned (L/L).

Materials & Resources

• Ensure spare parts and materials are available for planned construction activities.
• Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials in advance of construction implementation.

Progress & Reporting

• Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work done quantities.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction reports.

Coordination & Support

• Provide technical support during the implementation of HVAC projects work.
• Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Higher Diploma in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning or Mechanical Engineering.
• Supervisory level with site experience in the construction and maintenance of industrial buildings and workshops.
• Engineering and Construction Company working experience in Middle East preferred.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of International HVAC engineering and safety standards.

Skills & Competencies

• Comprehensive knowledge of construction management and engineering standards.
• Working knowledge of principles and practices related to HVAC.
• Commissioning expertise.
• Trouble-shooting capability.
• Computer application ability in MS Office.
• Computer literate in mainstream Office products with exposure to online management, document and maintenance systems including SAP.
