HVAC Draftsman

Role Overview

HVAC Draftsman at Al Shirawi Group. This role prepares accurate and detailed HVAC drawings for construction and coordination based on project specifications, design documents, and site conditions, ensuring alignment with authority regulations and engineering standards.

Role Purpose

To develop precise HVAC shop drawings, coordinate layouts across multiple building services, incorporate site feedback, and ensure all drawings comply with local regulations and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Documentation

• Develop HVAC shop drawings, sections, and details based on design drawings and coordination requirements.
• Prepare builders' work drawings, sleeve layouts, and penetration drawings.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings at the end of the project.

Coordination & Collaboration

• Coordinate HVAC layouts with other services including Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Structural, and Architectural.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Attend coordination meetings if required to clarify drawing details.

Revisions & Compliance

• Incorporate site mark-ups and revise drawings as required by site engineers and consultants.
• Ensure drawings comply with local regulations, project specifications, and relevant standards including ASHRAE and SMACNA.

Administration & Support

• Maintain drawing logs and ensure timely submission of drawings to consultants and clients.
• Provide guidance and support to junior draftsmen, if any.
