Role Purpose
The HSEW Manager ensures compliance with HSE policies, legal regulations, and international standards to achieve a zero-incident environment across road and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Management & Strategy
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project HSE Management System.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the entire workforce.
Leadership & Team Oversight
- Lead safety teams, inspectors, and officers across all project zones.
- Conduct HSE orientation, training programs, and competency evaluations.
Compliance & Auditing
- Conduct HSE audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations.
- Approve risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response plans.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, OSHA standards, ISO 45001, and environmental guidelines.
Incident Management
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination
- Manage reporting of KPIs, safety statistics, and monthly HSE dashboards.
- Coordinate with authorities, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders for safety compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, or Environmental Sciences.
- 10–15 years HSE experience in infrastructure projects.
- At least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Experience with large-scale road and highway projects.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Risk-management expertise.
Additional Information
Certifications
- NEBOSH Diploma/IGC preferred.
- OSHA preferred.
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor preferred.
