HSE Trainer (Change Culture Agent)

Role Overview

HSE Trainer (Change Culture Agent) at Samsung E&A. This is a project-based position responsible for driving the Samsung Engineering S.A.Y (Safety Around You) Culture program across construction projects globally.

Role Purpose

Act as a catalyst and change agent to stimulate, manage and coordinate the Samsung Engineering S.A.Y Culture program activities on the Project. Facilitate culture program implementation across all project levels while coaching leadership, supervisors, foremen and workers to embed safety culture excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Advising

• Coach Samsung E&A and Subcontractor Site Supervisors, Supervisors, Foremen and Worker teams on Culture program elements.
• Advise HSE Managers from SECL, Client and Subcontractor organizations.
• Focus coaching on those leading from the front regarding implementation of key culture activities.

Training & Field Development

• Deliver Culture training for TBM Leader sessions targeting Construction Supervisors, Foremen and HSE Supervisors/Officers.
• Conduct worker field training in safety culture practices.
• Serve as Project HSE Trainer for all culture-related instruction.

Program Management & Facilitation

• Deploy all components of the Culture program on the Project.
• Collect required assurance components for HQ to establish all Culture levels.
• Facilitate Learning Teams meetings.
• Support facilitation of S.A.Y Leadership Team meetings.
• Conduct TBM, TAKE-5 and Culture Whiteboard effectiveness assessments.
• Assist Subcontractors with implementation of culture improvement recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 15 years' experience in HSE as Senior Trainer or Supervisor.
• Age 40 years or over preferred.
• Knowledge of construction project environments.
• Credibility and acceptance as knowledgeable in construction projects.
• HSE qualification required.
