Role Overview
HSE Supervisor (Site) at Wood PLC. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Engineer with a proven track record in understanding the complexities involved in large-scale Gas Processing projects to meet objectives for a high-profile client.

Role Purpose
This role is responsible for leading Health, Safety and Environment functions on site, providing timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to HSE with respect to legislation, company policies and client requirements. The HSE Engineer will support the team to assist in the delivery of Wood EPCM projects and provide visibility and interface of the HSE function across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety and Environmental Assurance
- Provide timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to Health, Safety and the Environment with respect to Legislation, Company Policies and Client requirements.
- Contribute to the development of the HSE Assurance Plan to deliver high risk audits across the area or Division of responsibility.
- Provide advice and recommendations of improvement.
- Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections in accordance with the Integrated Management system.
- Prepare safety and environmental reports as required.
- Meet company Occupational Health and Safety goals.
Site Management Support
- Support a team of Engineers to assist in the delivery of Wood EPCM projects.
- Advise and assist site management in the preparation of Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments and method statements for various projects in line with client SLA's and KPI's.
- Work with on site management in the development, delivery, implementation and maintenance of Business Unit specific HSE policies and procedures.
- Provide HSE advice and direction to on site management, staff and contractors.
- Manage relationship with client's HSE teams.
Training and Communication
- Prepare and deliver training courses and toolbox talks to ensure full knowledge of H&S requirements and techniques.
- Assist site management in the periodic preparation and presentation of seminars and training for clients, own employees and other interested parties and stakeholders.
Incident and Investigation Management
- Conduct loss event investigations and prepare reports for internal and external purposes.
- Report to Line Management of HSE activities on Site.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Provide visibility and interface of the HSE function. Work in collaboration with other members of the team and the wider business to facilitate high performance delivery through successful implementation of processes and systems, in a sustainable manner.
- Liaise with Health & Safety stewards on a regular basis ensuring consultation and participation of workforce.
- Share information, suggestions and observations to create consistency throughout the Company.
- Assist other members of the team across business unit audits.
Organizational and Cultural Development
- Drive behavioural culture change programs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 6 years or more experience in HSE.
- Worked exclusively at site location.
- A solid understanding of organizational change.
