HSE Supervisor

Role Purpose

To support the HSE Manager in maintaining health, safety and environmental standards across the project, ensuring all workforce members understand and comply with HSE requirements, hazards are controlled, and corrective actions are implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Support & Guidance

• Assist the HSE Manager in daily operations.
• Provide guidance and assistance to HSE Officers and monitor their daily duties.

Policy Implementation

• Apply and implement the Company's IMS (HSE aspects) throughout the duration of the project.
• Implement and monitor project HSE plans, procedures, and KNPC safety requirements.

Hazard Communication & Training

• Ensure all workforce is advised of HSE hazards by delivering induction courses and toolbox talks.
• Ensure necessary controls and contingency arrangements associated with work activities are in place.

Inspections & Compliance

• Conduct routine site inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and environmental hazards.
• Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and approved Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

Incident Management

• Actively execute or assist in investigation and reporting of all accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Promptly respond to all reports received from employees regarding non-compliance, unsafe conditions and activities, accidents and near misses.

Corrective Action

• Take prompt corrective action and inform the HSE Manager accordingly regarding potential HSE hazards.
• Participate in follow-up and close-out of corrective actions arising from operational activities, meetings, accidents, incidents, near misses, emergency exercises, inspections or audits within the area of responsibility.

Meetings & Audits

• Maintain and participate in the schedule of meetings, emergency exercises, inspections and audits programmed for the project.

General Duties

• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum.
• 12+ years relevant HSE experience.
• Experience in EPC projects is mandatory.
• Excellent knowledge of HSE Standards.
• Good command (written and oral) of the English language.
