HSE Site Coordinator

Role Overview

HSE Site Coordinator at Flowserve. This role maintains workplace safety standards, leads continuous improvement initiatives, manages incident reporting, coordinates safety training, and ensures compliance with Saudi Arabian HSE legislation and Flowserve corporate standards.

Role Purpose

The HSE Site Coordinator drives a strong safety culture and ensures operational compliance across facility operations through proactive safety management, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Facility Standards

• Maintain high levels of housekeeping and implement 5S methodology across the facility.
• Perform 5S audits every three months.

Safety Inspections & Reporting

• Conduct daily walk-through safety inspections and report findings to immediate supervisor.
• Enter all inspection findings into Sphera.
• Report all near miss, first aid, loss time, environmental, fire, and vehicular incidents to Sphera.
• Encourage all site associates to report observations in Sphera.
• Review all reports in Sphera and update HSE RAIL on a regular basis.

Regulatory & Standards Compliance

• Review local standards and ensure requirements are communicated to immediate supervisor and top management.
• Ensure all environmental reports are submitted accurately and on time pertaining to air, storm water, and sanitary sewer discharge permits.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of ISO-9001, ISO-14001, and ISO-45001.

Committee & Training Coordination

• Conduct monthly HSE committee meetings and weekly toolbox meetings.
• Provide reports from all committee and toolbox meetings.
• Coordinate safety training for all employees in safety, health, and environmental matters.
• Develop and administer New Hire Orientation Safety Training.
• Coordinate emergency evacuation procedures, training, and practice drills.

Incident Investigation & Analysis

• Conduct rigorous incident investigation processes focused on prevention and root cause analysis.
• Investigate and maintain records for all work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Provide statistical analysis and assist department management in developing effective health and safety countermeasures.
• Support continuous improvement of safety objectives and injury prevention leading indicators.

Safety Committee Leadership

• Manage environmental, health, and safety activities through strong leadership, communication, motivation, and direction of the safety committee.
• Serve as co-chair on the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
• Coordinate activities, recommendations, and accountability of issues identified by safety regulations and Flowserve corporate audits.

Safety Audits & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct monthly workplace safety audits.
• Establish measurable standards from which further recommendations can be made.
• Ensure effective follow-up on audit findings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
• At least two years of relevant HSE experience.
• MHRSD professional certificate (Kawader).
• Excellent knowledge of Saudi Arabia health, safety, and environment legislation.
