Role Purpose
The HSE Officer ensures health, safety, and environmental compliance across construction sites. The role involves monitoring site activities, enforcing safety policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring workers adhere to HSE regulations. The officer contributes to safety training, incident reporting, and risk assessments to create a safe working environment and prevent workplace hazards.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Enforcement
- Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and site regulations.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and legal requirements.
- Ensure the availability and proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
Inspections & Risk Management
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
- Identify hazards, report unsafe conditions, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Incident Management
- Assist in incident investigations, reporting, and recommending preventive measures.
Training & Documentation
- Provide safety training and toolbox talks to site workers and staff.
- Maintain HSE documentation, reports, and safety records.
