Role Overview
HSE Manager with Archirodon Group N.V, based at the site office in UAE for a major Oil & Gas EPC project.

Role Purpose
Oversee and manage all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance within oil and gas operations, ensuring alignment with ADNOC regulations and standards while leading an HSE team and driving continuous improvement across the project.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Systems Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management systems in line with ADNOC requirements.
- Prepare and submit reports, statistics, and documentation as required by ADNOC and other regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards throughout all phases of project execution.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry organizations, and stakeholders to stay updated on HSE-related regulations, standards, and best practices.
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of HSE professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary to ensure a culture of safety excellence.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among employees, contractors, and subcontractors through training, communication, and engagement programs.
Hazard Management & Investigation
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HSE performance, efficiency, and effectiveness across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering, Science, or HSE Discipline from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue.
Experience
- Minimum 12–15 years' experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation, and/or commissioning projects or operations in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industries.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a lead HSE position managing a team of HSE professionals.
- Previous approval from ADNOC Onshore (mandatory).
Certifications
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent (subject to approval by ADNOC Group), or any other HSE certifications considered at ADNOC Group discretion.
- Lead auditor certification in ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 or equivalent (mandatory).
- Incident Investigation technique certification (mandatory).
- Additional HSE trainings and certifications are advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of HSE issues, practices, and behavioral aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business.
- Sound understanding of HSE Management Systems and HSE legislative requirements.
- Broad knowledge and experience in audit processes.
- Competency in SSOW (Permit to Work, Work Management System, Risk Assessment, etc.).
- Ability to develop HSE plans and emergency response procedures and plans.
- Ability to analyze incidents and apply root cause analysis techniques.
- Awareness of H2S hazards and control measures.
- Ability to lead a team of HSE professionals such as HSE Engineers, Senior HSE Officers, and HSE Officers.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English with good communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Additional Information
- ADNOC approval is mandatory for this position.
