Role Overview
HSE Graduate position at AtkinsRealis (SNC-Lavalin), based in Riyadh. Saudi nationals only.
Role Purpose
Monitor and implement health, safety and environment (HSE) compliance across the project site, ensuring all staff and contractors adhere to company procedures, regulatory standards and best practice while identifying and escalating safety risks and incidents to project management.
Key Responsibilities
HSE System Implementation
- Adhere to and implement SNCL internal HSE management system requirements and procedures for SNCL site team.
- Adhere to project HSE requirements and implement this to SNC team.
- Ensure that relevant safety measures have been put in place for SNCL Engineers & Inspectors and provide training as and when required.
Compliance Monitoring
- Monitor the compliance of all staff with the applicable safety standards and company's procedures and bring to the attention of the Project Manager any safety violations by WSA site team for their further action.
- Monitor, assess and report on Contractor and Sub Contractors HSE compliance with the project HSE requirements as per the Contract and HSE legislation / best practice.
- Carry out daily site HSE tours with Contractor HSE staff and highlight findings.
Risk and Issue Management
- Immediately bring to the attention of the SNCL PM the critical and outstanding safety issues for their further actions.
- Conduct accident and incident investigations for SNCL staff.
- Compile accident report and incident statistics.
Training and Development
- Conduct and coordinate regular safety training for WSA staff.
- Carry out inductions for SNCL site staff.
- Coordinate safety-related activities for SNCL team and mentor regularly.
Reporting
- Prepare regular weekly, monthly and other reports as required on safety matters for issue to the Employer and Project Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety.
- IOSH / NEBOSH diploma would be beneficial.
- GPA should be 3.2 and above.
- No more than two (2.0) years relevant work experience.
